| The goal of our orthodontic team is to improve your smile in a friendly, comfortable environment. We strive for treatment excellence in an efficient and timely manner as we build lasting relationships in our community.
Welcome New Patients
New patients are evaluated to determine the best treatment plan needed to achieve their orthodontic needs. Early evaluation around age 7 allows Dr. Jane to recommend how and when to best treat a young child. Our Growth and Guidance program monitors a child’s growth and development through periodic visits to our office. With this program, you can expect to see Dr. Jane every six months to make sure the jaws and teeth are growing correctly.
If you refer a friend to our office, please be sure and tell us. The confidence that you have in our orthodontic office is important to us.
Appointments
Orthodontic treatment depends on regular adjustments to your appliances every four to six weeks. To maintain an efficient patient flow in our office, your punctual arrival to each scheduled appointment is required. Our office is open during normal working hours, which will require your understanding and flexibility when scheduling appointments. An equitable scheduling process alternates appointments between school and non-school times to allow fairness to all our patients. Keeping regularly scheduled appointments helps ensure your treatment time is within the parameters estimated by Dr. Jane.
Cancellations
There are times when illness and emergencies prevent you from coming to your regularly scheduled appointment. We request that you contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. If you must cancel an appointment on short notice, there is a chance that your next appointment could be delayed because we schedule six to eight weeks in advance. We want to be flexible, but be aware the time of day for your next appointment might not be ideal. We want to avoid any delays in your orthodontic care.
Emergencies
From time to time, an orthodontic appliance may become loose or break. If you experience a loose band or bracket or a poking wire, please call the office for an evaluation of your emergency. There are possible at-home solutions or we can schedule an emergency appointment for you. We also provide weekend emergency coverage for your comfort and care.
Fees and Insurance
We accept assignment from your insurance company; however, all costs are your responsibility. The estimated insurance benefits are subject to change and generally are paid on a quarterly basis to our office. Our staff will help you determine what your benefits are before treatment begins. Please update us with any changes that might occur regarding your insurance coverage or billing information during treatment.
